Anyone know of any issues with the 03 auto tranny? I was driving along the other day when she started downshifting, upshifting and eventually just cut out above 40 mph.I checked the OBD and got a "torque converter stuck" message. She''s at the dealer now but the car only has 35k on it and I''ve never abused it.( Now I see why I was warned agaisnt putting a turbo on it).

you know that cute little screenname that you picked ...... maybe it''s time to actually buy a Dr. Evil transmission.  ''03 had the same problems as the 6th gen AT''s, only Honda won''t admit it because then they''d have to pay for the repairs .... they only lost a multi-billion dollar lawsuit over the 6th gens.

Thanks for the input. The dealer called me today and told me that Honda will foot 90% of the repair bill.( total cost 3000.00+/-)
obviously a serious problem exists! I guess instead of a full blown recall, they''ll fix ''em as they come in. I really can''t complain  paying the 10% when I''m getting a 6 year old car fixed for a song.

Congrats!!!!  You''re lucky!!!  Most don''t get that deal.  They usually cover the part and you''re on your own for labor .... but you have to have the dealership do it.
