AEM and Injen are two of the most popular ones out there, but of course they are expensive also...

Both have been used by myself, I got more power with the Injen I believe...

I don't know how it sounds on the Accord but I did have an AEM cold air intake on the '03 Corolla that I traded in. I felt that it increased midrange performance but low end suffered. It was loud on the Corolla but only when pushed, the 'Rolla had a loud engine to begin with. The Accord is so quiet (4cyl) that I'm not sure what sound to expect if I install one.

I chose the AEM brand simply because it had passed CARB and had a sticker that would stop inspection stations from calling it illegal. As WheelBroker said all signs point towards the Injen as being the "hotter" of the two brands. Be aware that the true CAI that goes down inside the drivers fender well is a real pain in the a$$ to maintain.....this based on the Corolla but I'm sure it's the same in any car where the cone filter mounts in the fenderwell.

Sounds good on Accord. Deep. Injen and AEM and CARB legal.

I was curious, but what kind of maintenance needs to be kept up with on a cold air intake? Is it cleaning the filter? I haven't installed one yet and i want to, i'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it. With all the proper tools, does anyone know how long it takes to install a cold air intake ( one that would go inside the driver's fender well) and also how long it would take to install a 4-2-1 two piece header on a 4 cyl Accord 03? Thanks!

I haven't done the header so I can't answer that one. It took me about 2 hours to install an AEM CAI on an 03 Corolla. Actually there is little maintenance other than cleaning the filter, even that only has to be done every 30K-50K miles.

AEM sound really good. They sound the best on high RPM. But if you get cold air make sure you clean the filter at least once a month.
