ok guys... i have 2 and a half years to build this monster... now i know in that time new technology will come out... and so on...

This car is getting built for a bet... a bunch of my freinds and i are going to san banita and have a drag race... so i need to bring a 8 second car...
The car has to have the ORIGINAL engine... and original block... (any K24 block will do though so a K24A2 is going in)

Head
A VTEC head (JDM Integra)
Skunk 2 +1 over stock Valves Springs and titanium retainers...
Skunk 2 VTEC turbo Race Cams
Radical Port and Polish

Block
K20 Oil System
Darton Sleeves
BC 2.6L Stroker Kit
Knife Edged Crank
balanced and lightened pistons and rods
KMS pistons
7.5:1 - 8:1 compression
8lb flywheel

Intake
Turbo Manifold fully ported and port matched
Integra Type-R TB bored our and polished (butterfly thinned out)
fully pollished 2.5 inch charge piping...
inter cooler undetermined HKS or Greddy
NOS Inter-Cooler Spray Bar Kit

Exhaust
Turbo back 3 inch exhaust
Custom side mount equal lenght turbo manifold (non log :) )

Turbo
t88 - 30-40 PSI (depends on if i use nitrous)

Nitrous
125 Shot of N20 threw a progressive DPI system (brand unknown as of yet)

ECU
AEM Engine Managment System

I also plan to turn 10K RPMs

so what do yall think just pure engine... what else to do what else to add?

the real question is, how will you get all that power to stick to the pavement.

but it sounds like a kick ass car, sign me up for a ride as well.

well its going to run threw the 6 speed manual from a JDM ITR thats cryoed and built then to a stage 5 ACT clutch... then stage 5 drive shafts from the drive shaft shop ... then thats going to hit some 12 inch drag slicks... but my secret wepon will be... *laughs manicly* AIR RIDE! im going to have some sort of computer controled drag system... when i launch my ass end will be as high in the air as possible.... and my front will be slamed... thus when the car launches... the weight will balance... and the computer will adjust and once i have good traction and so on i will even out and take the course at normal (or slightly lowered) ride height

and it will be in a 03 accord 4 door :)

If you're serious you might want to rethink some of your setup. Pushing 1000hp worth of air through 2.5" intercooler piping isn't going to be easy. Same thing for 1000hp worth of exhaust through 3" pipe. And isn't a t88 a big turbo for an engine twice the size of yours? :)

the whole bet is V8 Vs I-4

and the piping is that big to keep pressure up... the exhaust will be nearly strait threw...

and the T88 is built for a Supra mainly... remember 10+k RPM...

if this thing is FWD, i seriously doubt you are going to get 8 seconds out of it.....

i seriously doubt that that block will handle 1000hp ......

dont hate...

the block doesent have to deal with much... its all on the sleeves... the bottom end will be rock solid so im not going to throw anything...

and 8 seconds out of a FWD isent that hard... a 300 HP FWD runs high 9s

the suspension is all that matters... and thats were the air comes in...

stop being so pecimistic

I don't know if you'd want to throw that much money into an accord engine. You could buy another car and build it into a monster with the kindof money you'd need. If you really want to do it I wish you luck but, it's going to be very hard. Keep in mind that the 260whp STIs run low/mid 13s and those are all wheel drive cars. Then my buddies rwd 330 hp V8 only runs high 12s.

pay close attention to your gear ratio's.... that's going to play a big part as well. Search the forum or go online and find a drag calculator or Horsepower calculator and a good one will give you gear ratio's... I know that it's do-able I just don't know the specifics of what you'll need (size wise).... Pay close attention to your rims and hubs so nothing snaps there, chain the engine to the frame.... does the outside of the car have to be 100% stock? if not then use an Idea I saw elsewhere and make the mirrors fold back for less drag... that way they are functional but also drop down for racing.... Carbon fiber/fiberglass is your friend!

yeah, 10k rpms is going to be the only way to run 40+psi only problem is if you stroke it and run 10k rpms your going to hit that little unhappy point where the car cant safely maintain the rpm's for the stroke its at, depending on how much you stroke it of course
