i bought a 2008 accord ex-l.  i can''t get over the fact that the cigarette lighter has no power when the ignition is off.  what is the easiest way to modify this?  do i need to go back to a chevy?

What do you need powered when the car is off???  This was done on most cars to reduce unintended power drains.  If this bothers you enough, you can remove the stock power lead and run a new mainline from the battery.  I suggest using an inline fuse if you do this, also 14ga. wire and a 25A max fuse size.  If you want 30A, use 12ga. wire, but IDK what the lighter socket itself can take.
