Ok, I'm in need of the tire expertise of WheelBroker or anyone else here!
I have a 2001 EX V6 Coupe, and the stock tire is 205/60/16. When I go to the size calculator, the best fit BY FAR appears to be 215/50/17. But this size seems to be a lot harder to find than most. Does anyone else have this size? If so, where did you go for your rims/tires?

I wanted to go through ebay, but I couldn't find a single wheel/tire package that would come with this size tire. All help appreciated! Thanks.

Can anyone please respond as to what tires they have on their own 17" rims? Preferrably a V6 that had stock 16's so I can compare the diameter changes that you people accept on your own rides. I'd really appreciate the help!

I just recently bought new rims for my 2001 Accord EX V6 Sedan and went with 17x7  Konig Unknowns with Kumho 215/50/17, since everywhere said this was the best setup, the only problem is that my rear tires hit my rear fender they just almost fit into the wheelwell , I need help, suggestions, other then this problem they look awsome

Hello Goldenknight22..here are some answers for you:
Your best size fit in the tire section would be the 215/50/17 or the
225/40/18's if your going even larger...Both of these tire sizes keep in with the overall tire Overall Diameters of 25.5"

Go to TireRack.com or TSW.com and use there tire and wheel calculators . They are very good sites,,,

Hope this gives you more help for your questions..

Hello Pierre_b...
Do you know what your ET is on those Konig's you bought...?

Thanks for the help. Yeah, I had used the calculators already. I'm just having a problem finding any kind of wheel/tire package that has that size tire for it (eBay).

WheelBroker... what is ET???

Pierre.. is your car already lowered? How could 215/50/17 possibly be rubbing? I'm seeing almost every car that doesn't have stock wheels with tires that are as wide or wider than yours. And height isn't an issue because it's practically identical to original dimensions. I'm puzzled.

1st off...E-bay most times is not the place to get much correct information and not always the best Deals

ET was that little guy who goofed around in that movie .. sorry
I couldnt help my self there...
.ET is sometimes better known as OffSet...offset is the location of the flat mounting surface of your wheels relative to your wheels centerline...there is Negative offset and there is positive offset. Putting on wheels with the wrong offst is what causes tire scrubbing , bad steering geometry and suspension motion ratios which directly determines the effective problems you can encounter with torque steer and self-centering characteristics of your vehicles stability and performance...
Center of the wheel is Zero Offset ET...Positive Offset ET is wheels lip out toward the fenderwheel line...and Negative Offset ET is the wheel being tucked inward of that centerline..that deep dished look you see on custom cars...

Ahhh thanks! Good explanation.

So if looking for a wheel/tire package and not eBay, think you could help me out? I really like the ADR Battles Exes, mmmm, and I want tires that have a lot of grip, but still decent treadwear. What do you think I could do for getting somethign like this for not a lot of $$$.
Thanks WheelBrokerAng, ur the best!

Hey again, this is pretty ironic. I just got a flat tire a few days ago, and have to see if it can get patched/plugged. If not, my rim search just got put into *first priority*. I'm not buying a new tire, because my other 3 are near the end of their life, and I'm obv. not going to buy 4 new ones. The only other option is to put on my winter tires a couple of months early (remember, NH) if it can't get fixed and just wait until spring to go with the rims. (I'd still want to get them soon, though)

Sooo, I was wondering if there was any updates/news for the rim search. I can't believe I get my flat tire right in the middle of all this..lol. Thanks for your efforts, as always!

Hey anyone, they shouldnt have any issues plugging the hole, right? It was from a nail. It's not completely in the sidewall, but where the sidewall turns into the main part of the tread, at about a 45 degree angle into the tire. Hopefully I can get it fixed?

that's really early for winters...they can chunk if you run them in really hot weather...be careful with that.
