I have a 1991 Accord with an automatic transmission. The engine and trans were pulled from a ''92 with 90,000 miles.
The problem is sometimes the transmission shifts and kicksdown fine, other times, it will not kickdown at all and shifts thru all gears at about 3200 rpm at wide open throttle. The kickdown linkage is adjusted correctly from what I have read. It does not seem to make any difference if the engine is warm or cold.  I have tried cleaning all of the electrical connections going to the transmission. I have checked the trouble codes, no transmission codes come up.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Scott

Update:
I swapped the engine and transmission ECU''s from the ''92 Accord the engine and trans came out of. It seems to have taken care of the problem-for now.
I will post again if the problem comes back.
