1997 Accord Sputtering while at idle - 11/7/2007 2:06:33 PM    rsanchez   Posts: 5 Score: 0 Joined: 11/7/2007 Status: offline I am trying to fix the sputtering at idle problem on my 1997 accord 4DSE 4cylinder.  If I am in park or at a stop light with the AC on or off there is a change in idle followed by a sputtering and recovery to normal or shaky idle.  I have done a few things recently which needed to be done (motor mounts, FI service, new plugs and wires) and I still get the sputtering at idle.  I heard it could be the ignition coil, but wanted to diagnose before purchasing an expensive part.  _____________________________ 1997 Accord 4 door SE 4 Cylinder Automatic 171,000 miles Post #: 1

But yeah ....
