Hello. I'm new here and this is my first post. I have a brand new 2007 Accord sedan, in Moroccan Red and I love it! I'm 18 and my parents bought it for me! I'm considering putting new taillights on, similiar in style to the new Accord Hybrid, but I have a few concerns. First off, I have LED taillights, does that effect anything? Secondly, I know literally NOTHING about how to fix a car, or even inflate a tire or how to change the oil and I have NO mechanical skill of any kind. I don't have too much money, because I'm a college student, so I would need someone else to replace the lights at hopefully a relatively cheap cost. How complicated is it to put on new taillights? I am considering buying some on eBay, so I will include a link to the lights. Is it stupid to buy these? How much am I looking at for installation costs? Is it a simple "plug and play" with the LED's or is it more complicated. I intend on putting in amber colored turn signal bulbs, because I believe that's what the Accord Hybrid's use. Is anyone knowledgeable about these cars? THANK YOU!

You have to take off the bumper to access the lights...that'll probably be the hardest thing for you.

There's several "clips" or "tabs" at the sides, all you do is pop it out. Get an Accord manual...that's your best bet.

there are a few plastic clips under the fender, a few in the lip where the trunk and bumper meet and prob a few screws in the wheel well. the rest is just held in place by brackets that the bumper slides in and out of.

yeah i know with my 94 (i know not near the year yours) i just had a few screws. but your best bet to find them would definently be on ebay. also get a haynes manual because i have found those the most reliable. also with led they are brighter and they show up 1/6 of a secound quicker than traditional lights. going 70 miles an hour and you slammin on your brakes gives the other guy 15 more feet to react because of the 1/6 of a secound quicker light. i have led tail lights to and if you can definenly stay with them.  if ya have ?'s email me..... and here are the pics of my tail lights   http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2384199

I really don't understand these lights. The bumper has to come off to pull them out? How much is that going to cost me?

Dude, it's not hard at all....just be careful with the bumper. Get a friend and remove it. Newer generation cars are designed like that, why I have no idea. I remember on my 2nd gen Camry...the light assembly was right there. BAM! Open the hood...easy access. Open the trunk...easy access.

Ahhhh.....the good ol' days of 2.6 L power.
