86 Accord Lx won't start when cold out - 11/29/2004 9:38:51 AM    dgeorge   Posts: 1 Joined: 11/29/2004 Status: offline I have an 86 Accord Lx with carb and A/T, when the ambiant temp is below about 40 the car starts and runs for about 30 seconds then cuts off and will not start again until the temp warms up. When this happens there is a strong odor of gas like it is flooding out. If the temps are above 40 the car starts and runs with no problems at all. I don't know the correct settings but having a repair manual for the car would explain it thoroughly. There are many other possibilities but the choke seems a good place to start.
