89 LXI HELP - 11/8/2006 1:51:48 PM    simply6foot2   Posts: 7 Joined: 10/30/2006 Status: offline Hey guys, I have this little car and I am intrested in doing a little "work" to it. With a $200.00 price tag there isnt much to complain about other than having to replace a motor mount and the fuel pump. My question is how hard is it to replace the bottom rear motor mount, and how can I re attach the Speedo cable? Any illistrations or descriptions are much appreciated. Thank you. S62 Post #: 1

RE: 89 LXI HELP - 11/8/2006 2:12:46 PM    sir_nasty Posts: 6303 Joined: 2/23/2006 Status: offline the motor mounts aren't to hard (see the attached photos) just support the engine with a jack while you're doing it and that will make your life easier, also, the speedo cable when you say re-attach it what is wrong with it? Speedo not working? How do you know it's disconnected and not broken? I really appreciate that diagram:) As for the speedo cable, I know its not attacked. I have been checking the hoses and I found the cable attached to the speedo and it runs down through the engine bay but it was just hanging. It has a slight bend to it but it dosnt look broken. I have a good Idea that it may work but I didnt know if someone had a little more input.
