But IMO short ram has a better throttle response so if I was into autocross I think it would be better for that and a cold air is better for higher rpm power top speed wise because of the colder air. RE: Cold Air intake vs Short Ram intake - 10/14/2008 6:34:33 AM    falkore24 Posts: 5932 Joined: 8/16/2007 From: Wayne, NJ Status: offline Actually, I''ve seen actual test results that showed that the wrap actually increases intake temperature by providing thermal mass to a thin metal pipe that wouldn''t have the thermal mass otherwise.  The air moves quick enough and enough volume to overcome the majority of the heat gain that could be apparent in traveling through the CAI pipe.
