Shocks and struts are the same thing, just different names. I think you mean springs and shocks. If you buy coilovers they will replace both the spring and shock, and all coilovers are by their nature adjustable. If you just buy new springs you can keep your shocks, but it is not advisable, since the lower ride will put more stress on the shocks than they are designed for. Any way you go if you lower the car by more than an inch you should buy a camber kit as well.

if you buy coilovers you wont need to buy shocks/struts...if you buy coilover sleeves then you will need to buy shocks/struts...I havent lowered my car yet but from what I hear most Hondas need a rear camber kit

Since you want coilovers you can get:

1. coilover sleeves with aftermarket shocks ( alot of people have Ground Control with Koni Yellows)
2. coilovers ( alot of people have the Tein SS)

...just do more research so that you feel more comfortable with what you are buying

Hmm, this brings up some interesting things because, I lowered my car simply by buying Neuspeed lowering springs and Tokico struts. It's definitely lower, and the ride is a heck of a lot smoother, and my car so far hasn't given me problems with my this new suspension. I've had this suspension for close to a year now. I spend a total of $460 on these parts for my suspension. It most likely not as great as these entire coilover systems which cost close to a Grand, but it's definitely fairly decent and much better than factory.

Any "coilover kit" you see for $100 is gonna be complete shit and either rust, fall apart after a year, or be so harsh it blows your stock shocks. Either buy a good matching shock/spring combo or a good coilover sleeve like Ground Control or Skunk2 and some decent shocks (Koni, Tokico, etc) or a full Coilover (AMR, D2, Function Form, Apexi, Buddy Club, etc)

alright thats understandable...so what ur saying is go for the skunk2 or ground control coilovers, and good shocks (tokico, koni, etc.)......so why when im searching for shocks it always says shocks/struts ? ive herd that i only have struts in the front of my car and shocks in the back, so i wouldnt need four of both is that it true, but ive also heard they are the same thing? i dont know how stupid i might sound but its confusing to me...lol....thanks much for the info guys :)

You have 4 shocks, and 4 springs.
