1994 Honda Accord. The blower works or has been working intermediately but now hasnt worked in a few days. Does this sound like the motor itself or just a blower motor resistor. I understand that the blower motor (if thats what it is) is not a DIY job so I think I''ll start with the resistor. Where is it located? Or is replacing the resistor a non DYI job as well. Thanks

Usually when the resistor goes bad the fan will still run on high speed; The ''Caveman'' test can prove worn out brushes in the motor. When the motor will not run, reach up under the glove box and smack it. The replacement of the motor is not beyond DIY. You can look up under the glove box to see it. I think you have to peel back the carpet to have room to drop it out. 3 screws and one plug. GRAVY JOB

Is that a Honda only part?

Is that a Honda only part? it never hurts to call your local parts stores first to see if they carry the part, thats what i always do because the dealer is usually more expensive. but with the dealer you get oem parts.
