Been busy for awhile, does anyone know of any turbo or superchargers for my '03 V6 coupe? I've done some work on the car but I really want forced induction. So far shes' got  an AEM cold air, MagnaFlow cat back, bigger throttle body,a jet chip and alittle fluff (carobon fiber hood, lambo doors, Tein lowering springs , strut tower bar, a beefier rear sway bar and Kobe Race 10 17" rims with Hankook skins). I have a ZEX nitrous kit waiting to be installed, but I also want extra power I can use daily. So far shes' a real screamer, but I want more without intrnal mods. Any suggestions?

having a future nittrous system gives u a safe 75hp w/out mods, adding a turbo you'll have +100hp more, which means ur engine will suffer, if it holds up. try some internals such as rods, pistons, and rings.... oh, may wanna try some bigger injectors.

Good luck!

The Jet chip was done by a local shop, ran me about $300, installed, and the throttle body was from a shop in California formally known as Performance Accord, I don't know their new name and I honestly forgot  how much although +/- $300 seems about right. The improvement from both was well worth the cost.

Go turbo. Check out www.v6p.net in the 7thgen accord section. There's a few boosted members in there.

Did the JET chip help at all? I'm just curious.

The Jet chip did a lot!  In the auto trans it lets the grears rev higher before a shit and releases the top speed govener. Reported gain is 15 HP. After the install I hads an impromtou street race with an Accura TL (3.5 L. motor) Blew his doors off- local cops clocked me at 108! Had him by 3 car lengths. Man was my wife pissed. Thanks to the Powers that be that I knew the cop who trained the one who stopped me. Got off with a firm "..don't do that again- a least for a few months." But that was the sum of all I that I had put into the car-AEM cold air, Magna-Flow catback the larger TB.
Had her up to 130 in West Virginia, and it wanted to keep accelerating!
This Accord is the most fun car I have ever owned. Had 2 second gen Preludes, '83 and '85 Si.But back then the tuner world was nonexistant so I drove them stock.

Hmm...maybe I'll invest in in JET after all.

I was always under the impression it isnt a chip. For the Honda v6's i was told you have to have the computer taken out and reprogrammed. I could be wrong on this. anyone have a specific answer?

Comptech Superchargers...

I have one in my 1999.
They make applications for 03-06 Accords. Instant 40-50 HP. Definitely safer than bottle.
Complete set around $4000-$5000 CDN...depending on retailer.

Then get the Comptech Headers...you will feel the torque that Accords can perform... :)

actually truth be told... even though your 99 has the 3.0 block which the 03-06 has, it is not the same application. Comptech has stated (at least to a reliable source) the 99-02 supercharger they make will NOT fit the 03-06 honda v6's. your 99 has much less HP stock, which i would attribute to the computer settings and more restrictive exhaust. And I have been looking for a supercharger from other companies to no avail. if you know of a def. fit for our gen. accord please let me know.

^ actually you can get the TL to fit into the 7th gens with minor modifications. C/T supercharger ftw! I wish I had one and a un-problematic tranny

It is the same for the I4's too.
By the way, $300 is way too much.  You can get the JET reprogramming package from suppliers such as JCWhitney or Summit for around $240.  It comes with instructions on how to remove the ECU yourself.  Then you send it to them & they reprogram it.
You will have to use premium gas though (or so the JET People say.)  That is why I haven't been to willing to do this.

I' ve had the same problem . Comptech told me that for now there are no plans for a superchager for '03 and up V6s's. My local speed shop told me that there is hope for a turbo im the not too distant future. I don't know by whom, but as soon as I know I'll post and install.( Not in that order)

^ again the comptech supercharger for the 2004+ TL application works with minor modifications. BTW, is your car an auto or a manual? If your car is an auto, I would go with the supercharger route. The reason being is that the probability of your tranny being affect by the same problems that are nortorious as the 6th gens is pretty high. If you would like to risk the odds, then go right ahead, but replacing the tranny would cost a pretty penny. But if you do have a manual, then either way is an option.
