I'm fully aware that headlight restoration has been covered a lot. However, I haven't seen any threads relating to old glass lenses like I have.  They are a bit dingy and my visibility sucks, can clay and/or wet sanding be used on the glass ones the same way?  Just looking for a quick confirmation from one of you detailers.

I'm not a detailer, but I claybar my windows whenever I think they could get clearer.  No problems there, actually it works better on glass than the paint!  I've never done any wetsanding, so no comment there.

use the claybar... works fine for me... but i rather do the wetsanding and then rubbing component and the polishing machine... also u may wanna put clear pain on top, lasts longer... (my friends and i did it to our cars and it lasted until now, so...)

His headlights are not plastic, though... They are probably the old sealed beam glass units if this post is in reference to the '81 Civic in his signature. New halogen sealed beam head lights should be available for the car from most auto parts stores, or even Wal-Mart.

this will sound wierd but use tooth paste. Rub it on, scrub it a bit, then use water and a cloth to get it off.
