Greetings from a hot and sandy Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

Well, not an Accord owner yet, but have put a deposit down for the new 2007 3.0l V6 Accord. Delivery should be in about a months time. If you think that is bad, the wait for a Civic is 3 months.

Not new to Honda as I previously owned this: Its a Civic Type R, 2.0l, 200bhp. Great, great car, but sadly it was just not cutting it as my daily drive, which is circa a 260km round trip, most of which is highway! She was sold last moth.

I also currently have this sitting in the garage as well, but she too is soon to be sold. Awesome car, but again, not good for daily drive and not fair to be putting that kinda mileage on her daily. So, as I said, she is being sold as well.

This is my pride and joy (no offence to the Honda, but I have owned this from new and spent approx US$10K on mods):

Sorry for the long post, but I am looking forward to getting the Accord. I think it will suit what I am looking for. Test drive was last night and i really enjoyed it. Our model has 275bhp, but sadly, it is not the Coupe (we don't get them here) and yes, Auto! hahahahahaha

First thing I will be doing is changing the ICE in the car. Already got components and a sub lined up. Amps are sitting in the flat awaiting a car to install them in. So I will be checking out what people have done.

Also, lined up will be some 17" rims. Those may be slightly later.

Hope my welcome and stay is a happy one on these boards.

I may ask a lot of questions, I hope I get some usefull help and answers.

Cheers peeps.

You click the "Click here to upload!" link at the bottom of the message box then you put your pic in one of the boxes then check the box at the bottom of the message box that says Embed picture in post.

Actually the better way to attach them to the board, as opposed to the uploading them, which I find annoying to click through.. Just click the "image" button that's between the list and code buttons above where you enter text, then put the link for your pictures between the Image tags that it places in your post.

Btw, I LOVE your Z man. Good luck with the accord purchase! I think you guys get better options on the Hondas then we do here. I want a Pajero Soooooo bad..

Thanks for the warm welcome.

You want a Pajero? Landcruiser/Prado would be far, far better.

Yes, thats exactly right. Doing approx 260km every day is not healthy in a 350Z, in terms of km's on the car (really will lower re-sale) and cost of fuel (its cheap, but filling up every second day is not fun). The Type r was the same!

I have hired a 2.4l Accord and so far have been impressed with the fuel consumption.

oh in that case I would have just kept driving the Z unless gas consumption is a really major concern.........cars are to expensive to change on a regular basis anymore...lol..I had a 98 accord that I got rid of becuase the transmission was unreliable.......

Sorry, errrrrrrrrrrrr, our gallon here is 4.55l per gallon, which is the UK/euro measure.

I pay US$1.70 per gallon, that works out to be US$0.37 per litre. How does that compare?

Cheers for the welcome.

So, your handle suggests dealer/dist in wheels, is this so?

I was paying about $2.89/gallon a few months ago, it's now droped to $2.39 but that's nuts that you are a full dollar per gallon cheaper.... I miss those days *L*

I have 3 of the American "Montero" Versions of the Pajero, a hobby of mine to use them offroad, etc. The landcruisers are indeed nice, but too big and V8 is not required. I love the ride and capability of a truck that no one here in the states understands (they are all caught on the peice of crap jeeps)

I want a ~2000 Pajero Evo Or just simply a Late 90s 2 Door Pajero With a 2.8l Turbo Diesel in it. Great trucks that not too many in the states know about. For now I'll rock out the 'Montero' which is an awesome ride. Hell, I don't know of many jeeps that came in 1994 with rear air lockers as an option from the factory. Even my '89 has front and rear LSD and dual suspension seats in the front.

Pajero Evolution(everything on that truck is factory):

What I'm working on for a daily driver now that my Accord is wrecked:

Anyways totally different ballgame there, I love offroading, etc.. My late Accord had seen alot of trail use in it's day.

Brendan.
