Ok, 94 EX that I picked up yesterday.  1, 2, 4, and most times 5th all shift fine.  Going into third yeilds me a grind every single time, the lower the engine rpm''s, the more mellow the grind.  Friend of mine mentioned the synchronizer??  If that does sound right, where can I find one, what''s the usual cost, and how much of a pain is it?

Thanks in advance all!

i would first try using royal purple syncromesh MTF fluid, or OEM Honda fluid.

If it is the Syncro thats bad and the change of fluid doesnt help then you have to pull the tranny out, tear it completely apart, and replace teh syncros, your looking at over $1000

Thanks for the reply...I was fearful that was going to be the response.  I assume it would be cheaper to just find a tranny at a junkyard?  Is it only compatible with this body style, or are there other model years that will work??

you can use any 94-97 accord tranny(except for v6 trannies obviously).  any h23 or h22 tranny(except for the Type SH tranny for obvious reasons).
