Im planning on doing an H22A swap in the near future, and i have afew questions...
1. How hard are the swaps? I have a complete shop with all of the neccesary equipment i think, and i need to know how difficult it is to do.
2. If I go with the H22A, what is the engine size? My stock motor is a 2.2L/2056cc, and i dont know the size of the H22.
3. Is there a cheaper price out there for and auto H22a, than $1950.00?

Thnx alot, appreciate any help.

H22. Support for swapping a K-series into earlier models is non-existent unless things are custom fabbed which = $$$.

Hi, Its my first day on this forum and i also have a 91 (Ex). I have buddy that has a 95 H22. He's willing to let me have it for 1300. Is it a good deal? Will it fit correctly? Or should i do better.

$1300 is pretty good, especially if it's in good condition...I doubt you'll find one cheaper.

Will the 95 H22 fit perfectly in the 91 accord or will i have to spend more money on other parts to make it fit?

1300 is super cheap. good news an h22a bolts right into your car 90-93 accord yay!. make no mistake though it a big deal. you need ecu, axles for a h22a powered prelude and someone who knows some serious shit about wiring if your harness is cut, which it usually is.

even though the motor and tranny bolt right in, they dont like to go in at the same time. take the tranny off, bolt the motor in, then put the tranny on. for god sakes put a new timing belt and water pump on it before you bolt it in.

also remember, f20b bolts right in too.....

Thanx for the info.I got the complete deal of the year.My H22 comes with the trany wire harness & ECU. Lookin at what u said i might need to get stonger axels and from other source i might have to get a prelude headers/down pipe exhaust. Will the header/exhaust system bolt on perfectly to my 91? Cut wires??..I'll check that out. Thanx again

no your current manifold wont work, its not that you need stronger axles to work with the motor...the problem is your accord axles are not compatible with the prelude transmission. so you could use your accord transmission, which will bolt up to the h22, but i would not recommend..... or you can use your current axles as cores and get some refurb axles for a prelude nice and cheap.
