Dude, H22 are only rated from 190 - 220 HP stock, you'll be lucky to be pushing 200 - 240 HP after those mods. Turbo or spray from there to get it to 300 HP...

If I were you I'd drop the auto and get a manual; a lot of the power is going to get lost in the torque converter. Stay away from SH Prelude trannys too.

to get 300hp you are either going to have to

A)drop in high compression pistons, aggressive cams etc etc etc

B)Turbo, which isnt a great idea on a stock h22

C)Nitrous which also isnt a good idea

and last but not least having 300hp going through a slushbox tranny is a complete waste of time and money

Yea from what i heard an h22 is nothing if its auto....
if you do turbo or spray and go that road u have to re-sleeve it..
h22 sleeves are weak from what i read they are made of a weak material frm..
sleeve it drop compression pistons roads the whole nine yards..
n yea h22 are pushing 190-220 if thats the jdm h22...

Good luck trying to find the ecu so you can run the auto trans with your OBD2 motor b/c thats pretty much the only way you'd ever be able to do that. Anything else is a wiring nightmare.

I think some of you fail to realize that the H22 is pushing that 190-220hp at the crank on different models, not the wheels. They usually put out about 160hp, 140lb/ft at the wheels.

Turbo and spray with would be your best bet when modding your stock engine.

Intercooler. ECU Manager. New Tranny. Little mods will just keep bringing you up small amounts of horsepower.

and If you have the time and money... I believe you can get to 230-250HP.

Juts believe in yourself.

thanks but if thats my only option i'll just keep it at stock horsepower... i promised myself i would never ever resort to spray...(fear of blowing my engine)if you a novice like me then spray is something you shouldn't even be touching...i'm good...thanks though....

Why not just turbo?
You can adjust the psi for a longer engine life too.

Swap to manual, turbocharge your stock engine.

Realistically...you're not gonna see over 250 at the wheels with out rebuilding either your engine for more boost or the H22 for...whatever.
