Hey guys I left my passenger side window down and went out came home to pouring rain, literally most of the car is soaked (07 accord leather interior, power everything) I dried up what I could, but its still pouring..

What can I do to keep the car from smelling like POOP now? how can I clean it up?

Is a ton of Lysol and a good vaccuum a good idea?

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated I only have 10k miles on it even

couldnt wait went to the car wash and sucked a good bit of water out, front floor was saved from the mat actually and a jacket I had on the floor. Rear passenger side was SOAKED. feel damp now after about $2 in the vac, My main concern now is Mold/Mildew or am I being overly hyper? I have a 10mo son and dont want to chance it, but really dont want to replace the carpet either, or the seat.. Cause it looks like the water ran over the seat bottom and drained out the back to the back floor

Run don't walk and rent/buy a dehumidifier. Put it in the car (doors closed) every chance you get. Once you are sure that all moisture has been removed  look for an ozone machine. It will remove odors and kill mold spores. Many large car dealers have these for used cars and will do it for a fee. Also businesses that specialize in water removal (post flood/fire department) will have ozone machines. There are some precautions to be taken so let them do it as opposed to do it yourself.

Once all this is done you will need to clean and dress all leather. Lexol is a decent product for that and is available at Wally-Mart.

Best of luck.

thanks, just a update, I finally have driven my car again today. I got the dehumidifier, and it was pulling water from what seemed to be a dry carpet to me, I then spoke to a local detailer and he said pull the passenger seat and told me how to lift the carpet, I did and there was a good bit of water there.. I washed everything down with a liberal amount of lysol and dried then let the humidifier and a fan run in the closed car in my garage for two days, until 24 hours passed with NO water collection in the dehumidifier..

No smells and heck its so easy to remove the seats and the carpet is in two pieces, so should something come from it.. not as bad as I thought, my old mustang back in 93 (last car I ever did something so stupid in) was broke into and I had to replace the carpet it was 1 big shell
