Hey all how it be? Well I''''m new here and new to honda, have owned a couple mx6s so a little familiar with the thing. I am buying a 96 accord coupe for 150 bucks! There are quite a bit of problems with it, but it does run and it sure beats the 2 1/2 hour walk to and from work.
First off it is a neon pink color... with silver spray paint on the pass side. THANK GOD i know how to paint cars!!! I what I am really wondering is. It is an auto and since i have blown atleast 4 auto tranis in my short time of driving cars, how hard/worth it would it be to install a manual trani into it? Last, does anyone know where i can find a decent inline 4 cylinder motor, or possibly a V6 motor and trani?

Not worth it to transplant a 6 cylinder engine into a 5th gen Accord...engine bay does not compensate. Swap a H22a in. It''s ranked at more HP (190 vs 170), and the 5th gen V6 is close to worthless.
5 speed manual swaps have been done before...it''s relatively common. Search around google or similar forums (gen5accord specific) for more info.
