this procedure is for 90-93 accords but in most accord it is the same setup.
parts needed : camshaft, cam seal, lower rocker arm seals ( 4), valve cover gasket, distributor o-ring, upper spark plug seals ( 4) honda-bond, p/s fluid in case you loose some.
tools needed : feeler gauges, 10mm, 12mm ,14mm wrench. 10mm, 12mm, 14mm,(17mm deep socket) 19mm sockets, extensions( short and long ), rachet, screwdriver, torque wrench ft lb , 1/2 extension 1/2 rachet . the 1/2 inch you will need for the left upper motor mount bolts. floor jack,
remove the 4 10mm nuts, breather hose and pcv valve, ground wire,plug wires, remove the valve cover ,,
Disconnect the connector, remove the vacc hose, remove the 2 10mm bolts for the cruise control actuator, swing actuator to the side, make sure not to bend the cable,
loosen up both bolts for the p/s pump, loosen the p/s belt adjuster, remove the belt, remove the p/s pump bolts and remove pump from its backet, it will be easier to remover the top hose so you can swing the pump out of the way ..
put the floor jack under the oil pan, use a piece of wood so you do not damage the pan, remove the 3, 17 mm bolts and nut for the upper motor mount, ,
remove the 2, 10mm bolts for the upper t-belt cover, remove cover,
At this point use the 19mm socket in the crank bolt, turn crank till you are at top dead center # 1 . the up mark on the cam pulley should be facing up and the 2 notches on the pulley should be aligned with the head,,
while belt is still on pulley, loosen the 12mm bolt for the cam pulley, if cam rotates reposition to top dead again ,,.slide the timing belt off the pulley, remove the pulley,put a rag under the pulley to prevent the the pulley key from falling inside the lower t-belt cover ,, if you let that happen you are in trouble ,, ,you have to take all sort of stuff off to retreive it,
On the opposite side, unplug distributor connectors, mark the distributor with a magic marker or something, so you can reposition it in the same place that way you dont have to chk the timing , remove the 3, 12mm bolts for the distributor, remove the distributor,
At this point ,loosen all the adjuster nuts at rocker arms,loosen the screws, remove the 10mm and 12 mm bolts holding the rocker arm assembly down,remove the bolts from the outside in ..DO NOT totally pull out the 4, 12mm end bolts. just keep them in the rocker arm assembly, if you pull them out, the end caps for the rocker arm assembly will come off , than you have to reposition them in place ,

Ok rocker arm is off, now you can replace the camshaft...
put the new cam seal while rocker arm assembly is off, put some grease on the inside and a slight amount of honda-bond on the outside of cam seal,
put new seals on the lower rocker arm assembly,, use a bit of honda-bond to keep them in place, torque the 12mm bolts at 16 ft lb and the 10mm bolts at 9 ft lb .do this from ther inside out,
You might have to loosen up the timing belt adjuster bolt, to slip belt back on the pulley, if so, loosen the 14mm nut at middle of lower t-belt cover, once you slip the belt on, turn crank counterclock wise to thighten belt,,, then thighten adjuster nut .
when you put the cam pulley back on do not forget the pulley key,,
Read the HOW TO... valve adjustment , to adjust valves . it will save me some extra typing
put all together in reverse order.....
put honda-bond on the curved edges of the valve cover gasket .
Always chk all your work , make sure all bolts are tight and everything is plugged back in,
