So i really need some help here. Not long ago i put some 19s on my coupe. I really like the way the car sits with them, and the ride is not that bad. My problem was I got too excited and just had the wheels balanced and put on. Now that i've wised up a bit I need some help. I really dont know much about tires though so i need some schooling as far as- everything!! Spacers and presets and all that is foreign to me. I currently have super low profile rubber on there now, and really want to go a little bigger if I can, but im worried about rub and all that. I dont have the width of the rims on hand, so i'll have 2 get back to you guys with that, but she needs tires and i really need help!

A common width for 19s is 8.5 in or 215mm. So there is your first number for your new tires - 215. Go to miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html and enter the stock tire size in your door jamb, now pick a tire that has the same rolling diameter with a 19" hole in the middle. That's your best bet for speedometer accuracy, rubbing issues and handling. If you still want to go bigger, your speedo will be slow and we can't gurantee it won't rub. If you want to fill fender gap, I'd drop it and get the same size tires you have now.
