if i was able to get a hold of a stock intake manifold for my 94 accord is there anything i can do to modify myself for performance or even have it machined?? could i see performance this way? i was thinking about an f23 manifold but it seems a little complicated. if theres any ideas or experience id like to hear it. thanks

you could take a dremel to it and theoretically get better air flow, but would it be worth it, i dont think so.  since you are hell bent on getting a intake manifold, i would see if you could have a shop put a f22 flange on a h22 manifold, i know skunk2 and bbk make manifolds for the h22.  or better yet TWM ITBs, never seen a F22 with ITBs lol

haha yeah i guess i am lol. im an N/A guy. well atleast for now and am just looking for mods that are out of the ordinary. i like to be different. i dont however have the money for an h22(youre lucky lol) but want to push as much power out of the f22 as possible before even looking at tearing the engine apart. ill look around its gonna be my spring project.

haha yeah :D. as for the f23 IM it supposedly has better "flow characteristics" over the f22 IM and will help the engine pull more power. im looking for new mods all the time lol

I wonder if you couldn''t shape the inside of the IM with epoxy or something.... I know that the F22 IM has a huge dead area on the top after the last cylinder.... looks like a big air traffic jam...

And ITBs would be awesome, but then again just another tuning nightmare... and you''d need a GSR ECU...

hmm interesting. i think thats what seems to be fixed in the f23. its shorter from the TB towards the last cylinder. i could try. as for ITBs im gonna skip for now lol. expensive and as you said more and more with tuning and such. i could also try polishing the inside really good i guess as well as i want to make the intake look really nice(one of the reasons for a new one). i have some ideas now.

yay!!! N/A is awesome. i will definitely join the club. chevy 350 with 11:1 comp. is my dads project for a firebird i was very happy lol. as this 300whp. sounds like big compression in a four or V6 glorification. keep me updated rice. i kinda want to maybe down the road build a four with 13.5:1, cam it out, but this is gonna be years lol

now that i think about it and since this thread is about intake manifolds lol  i found somethign in my searches. i know you wanna do ITBs but theres also this option.

yeah its already got a h22 but it has a few issues, so just going to buy another h22 block, use h23 crank and rods to stroke it, run as high compression as i can without the pistons coming out the top, full JUN valve train, TWM ITBs, Hytech full race header.  hopefully net 300whp as i''ve never seen a NA h22 with more than like 280-290.  i guess the cats out of the bag now

o0o0o once you have the NA H22 in your CD5 you should take the old H22 and do a gnarly FI job on it. And then stuff it into a del Sol...
