I decided that i want to build a monster of an H22 from the inside out. everything from the best crank, rods, pistons, cams, valves, everything. if there is something better than oem that can go in that motor i want to know about it. any suggestions? i wrote a bigger paragraph nut it wouldn''t post. thanks guys

A better place to start is what you expect from this motor and how deep your pockets are.

the build you are talking about is a $6,000+ build.  ideal for NA build would be a 2.5l stroker with 14:1 compression.  make about 300whp

I am looking a for a good foundation in a honda motor and to make it better than any one like it. better yet i have this undying need to build something crazy like that. money is always tight but i am a believer that time is money and i am far from even half my life. i am told all the time to just drive my car the way it is and buy a better one later. well i want to just build one and skip the car loan and payments but still keep up with the rich kids with co-signers. and i want to do this right and get the info first.

Thats the easy way to do it... a little cheaper but, how many people can brag that they pull huge power out of a natural four banger... if i wanted it easy i would just build a v8 like my dad says...

believe me, i was pricing out building my H series for NA, its very expensive.  the most i have seen out of a N/A H was 268whp.  and it prob got about 10mpg on race gas.

idk man that motor pushes 190 stock... i have heard of 90 hp jumps from just cam swaps in b16s... i think it could pull out more than that if someone took the time to build it for it.

N/A 2.4L h series specs:
cp pistons 14:1
carrillo rods
oem bearings/oil pump
ported cylinder head
skunk stg.2 cams
euro r intake
oem stock tb
hytech exhaust
rc 550 injectors
oem ignition system
fluidampr pulley

that made the 268whp.  you cant do much more than that

you arent going to get much more out of a N/A 4cyl.  I dont think you realize how much 270whp is.  thats about a 13 second flat 1/4 mile.........if you can get traction.  other than that a k series is better for N/A, but only slightly

for the record, the fastest NA 4 cyl belongs to skunk2 racing with their k24 powered integra.  bored to 2.55 15:1 compression full tube chassis completely stripped ran a 9.7 i believe
