Problem solved with new ignition switch - 8/12/2008 3:07:01 PM    david314   Posts: 13 Joined: 3/16/2007 Status: offline The gas mileage dropped around 10% on my ''99 Accord, 140k, about two years ago. Then, last November, I began having maybe once a week, the engine quit for seconds at a time at highway speeds. Then, in Feb or so, occasionally when the car had been running, and was still warm, I''d try to start it up again and it would stall one to five times before starting up. In May or June the car finally was diagnosed in need of a new ignition switch. Since I got the switch, the gas mileage is back to normal, and the other symptoms are gone.
