92 Accord - blew out the higher of the two small coolant hoses that come off the side of the engine, just below the head, just under the intake apperatus, and next to the medium sized "U" shaped coolantant hose.  The other ends of these two hoses go to either end of the intake apparatus.

Cann''t get to these two hoses from the top side, without removing the whole intake apparatus!!!!

The car is on ramps, and from below, I can see and just "touch" the clamp on the lower of these two hoses, BUT I cannot get any tool on the clamp to remove it!

The tube sticking out of the engine that holds the "U" shaped hose is in the way and keeps ya'' from reaching these smaller hoses from the side...

Is there a trick?  or a Special tool?  We''ve spent hours... no luck.

Taking it to a mechanic is not an option, as it is in the country in a friend''s driveway, and his wife wants her driveway back!

We are very frustrated....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kyle

Purchased the 15" right-angled tipped pliers at Harbour Frieght for about $16.  With those pliers I was able to grab the hose clamps from below and replace the lines...

It was money very well spent!
