I've been looking around on the internet for a way to lower my car without spending 1000+ dollars. I came across this one type of coilovers, they're sleeve type which just fits over your existing shocks/struts I guess. They are considerably cheaper than true coilovers, but I also hear they can be dangerous and a waste of money. If anyone knows anything more about either of these please let me know, b/c I really don't know what to do. Peace.

It really depends on the brand. Good brands for sleeve-overs are Skunk2, Ground Control, and DropZone are okay brands. It's when you buy no names from eBay that the danger things comes in to play.

I also heard that sleeve types can ride rough, but I guess if I get the good brands then I probably won't have to worry about that huh?

I have heard that the Skunk2 ones have been known to blow shocks and the Ground Control ones are the best...

i got mine ( drop zone ) from wheelbrokerang , and they are great, but i definatly will be getting some shocks/struts that are designed for a lowered car, but i couldn't be happier and wheelbrokerang is greatto deal with , and has good pricing too
