Hey everyone, Stupid newbie question, but I wanted to know what turbo kits are available for V6 accords. If anyone has any suggestions on specific kits, or vendors that sell kits, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Andrew

yeah, youre looking at a custom setup for a turbo, ive seen pictures for a turbo v6 accord and its so packed in there.... but supercharger is the easier way to go

It would be a pro install... truth be told, I would actually be doing the pro install. I generally only work on Porsche's and BMWs, and quite a few Subarus. This is for a friend, and while I'm by no means a Honda expert, doing a turbo kit doesn't really intimidate me on one of them. My problem with the supercharger is that it seems like very little gain for the money.... 40hp for $4k is kind of ridiculous, with an intake exhaust and a chip you could probably exceed that. Andrew

if you are somewhat competent you can install it yourself. the BIG MINUS of the SC kit is that once you install it, you have to remove it to get the front 3 plugs. the BIGGER MINUS of the turbo is 1. hardly any room 2. Heat build up will be a PITA to deal with 3. No room to work on anything if it brakes (alt for example) 4. Will cost more due to lots and lots of custom fab work needed (I doubt that you will get it done for $3500 or less)

Well, it does sound like the SC is a lot more practical, in terms of srviceability than the turbo would be. Still, it's pretty impractical itself... gaining only 40hp. I mean, I think the general rule is that any increase over 25hp and you'll feel it, but... that certainly wouldn't take your breath away. How does the SC fare with other mods? In other words, is it fairly compatible with ECU mods, like a chip being the most basic. I would think a chip and exhaust would help bump the HP up. I don't know... I would think with a turbo, intake, exhaust, and engine management, you could easily do a 100hp increase without even trying. I think to really gain hp, there's no way around going internal on a V6... maybe I'll just recommend an engine rebuild to him, see what we can't do to make the car scream?
