I replaced the speed sensor last night, but the D4 light is still blinking - so I guess I need to reset the ECU and read the codes again and see what it is complaining about. I did notice however while down there that there is a connector that is disconnected, and the wires cut off. Can anyone tell me what this connector is/does and where it goes?

Thanks!

First of all.. As i keep on repeating over and over ,, guys ,,Please input the year and model.
without it we got no clue on what we are ttying to help you with.. It is a good idea to input year and model on your signature so it will always be there and anyone can see

i can almost see the location above the rt axle correct ? tell me the color of the wires going to it and how many wires,,,,,, also if you can read and post the code it will give us more of an idea..

I almost want to say that it is the connector for the counter shaft ( nc ) speed sensor, if that's the case the lite should blink 9 times ..

Sorry, it is a 92 Accord 2 door. That photo is looking down between the fuse box and the engine, right below the air intake pipe. I have not pulled the codes yet as the dealer told it was the VSS, but I guess it was not. I'll pull the code to confirm its a countershaft speed sensor. Do you have any pictures of where the harness conencts to this, the location of the countershaft sensor, and the wire routing? It appears someone hacked it apart and there is nothing left other than what I can see in the photo.

Thanks!

I dont have the car with me at the moment, otherwise I'd run out and look for you. Are you talking about what color wires on the piece that still exists, or the color of the two subby wires sticking out of the other end of the connector?

I can't tell what color it is out of the connector, but the piece that has the harness left I'll take a peek at tomorrow and let you know.

Thanks..
