Stock tires on my 1997 Accord EX should be (and my rear tires are):
195/60-15

My front tires are:
195/65-15

The fronts are 3.2% taller (65 vs. 60).

Beyond skewing my speedometer, does this difference matter?  The front tires are nearly new, the rears likely have about 15,000 miles left.  All 4 are Goodyear Eagles (IIRC).

Ray and Tom don''t seem to think so, but anyone have more details on why or why not?  Transmission issues?  Rear differential?  Engine strain?  Different shift points?

It should be fine, just know that when your speedo says that you are doing the limit, you are speeding.

Yeah you''ll be just fine. Why would you think engine strain and shift points would be changed by bigger tires? The TCU controls shifting using the Throttle Position Sensor and RPMs when you step on the gas, and predetermined points for normal driving. And for the record, there is no rear differential. The only time you might have an issue is if the front tire sizes were mismatched with each other.
