I've decided to get either the Injen SRI or the AEM SRI for my 94 LX.  Is their really a difference in them sound wise? I'm not concerned with the look/power(can't be any major difference. they are both highly praised....) or cost(both cost 110 bucks shipped). Just want to see what will make my car sound pretty good.

They'll pretty much sound the same. In fact, even a crappy no-name eBay brand SRI will sound a lot better than factory, let alone Injen and AEM. There's no BETTER sound really, it's all personal opinion. I have an AEM sri and think it sounds great. I have not heard what an Injen SRI sounds like.

After doing some research (thanks to youtube) you are right. One guy had a video where he did a drive by in a AEM which sounded good but then a DR. somebody ebay intake and sounded even better. I think that's what I'm going to do. Get an generic ebay brand SRI and then just go to Advanced Auto Parts and get a K&N Filter. Plus it'd save me over 20 bucks for the same quality.

Yeah that's also a very good method. The only reason I went with the AEM sri is because the pipe looks a lot cooler than the eBay brands' piping.

The sound change with an SRI or CAI has more to do with eliminating the resonator chamber than the new tube or filter.

Ummm....no? There's more air flowing in the metal tube thus it is louder. Granted it will be 1.5 times as loud once you DO remove the resonator chamber. Think about it...plastic and rubber....vs. clean metal pipe.

For anyone who cares, after some debating I decided to go with the AEM intake because of the good quality I've  heard it has, and it wasn't to high. 110 bucks all together....hopefully it gets here soon.....
