Simple... my last name is Briggs... The "z" is just so much cooler, though.

Trav is short for Travis. I prefer to be called "Trav" but everyone I know personally calls me by my last name because no one knew me before I got into sports(baseball and football but I quit football).

The "20" is for my baseball number

During my tour overseas one of my friends started calling me Nasty Nate (off of some movie...) due to an incident at a bar.... That slowly became Nasty McNate... So anyway one day someone called me that and I was like "it's Sir Nasty to you..." and from there it started...  All derived from my younger more wild times about 4-5 years ago...

I had a feeling you were going to say it started as Nasty Nate.  The movie it came from is Half Baked.  Nasty Nate is the rather large gentleman in prison that takes away Harlon William's "cocktail fruit" and is constantly trying to rape poor Harlon in the prison shower.
I would like to hear of this incident at the bar...... did you take away someone's "cocktail fruit"?

Well for those of you familiar with the term "grenade diving" it's typically something that occurs once your "team" is assembled to talk to the additional people in the group, in this particular incident I had a few to many Irish Car Bombs and decided that I was going to attempt such a daring stunt.  Well it was rather easy to do, and I procured the grenade rather easily, unfortunatly there was no "team" assembled therefore it was not a true "grenade dive" but more of a drunken stupor.  I woke up alone in a hotel room searching for my walet (which I found, intact) and that is one of the more entertaining incidents from my younger years that prompted the nickname...  Sorry about the cryptic messages but I'm trying to keep the story PG

ROFL!!!
That's awesome!  I have never once seen a "grenade diving" attempt pulled off as it was meant to be!
