no turbo will gain u 350hp just like that. he would have to have a monster turbo (gt-35) or more and major internal mods.

you mean black smoke. usually cuz its putting more fuel in than it can handle till the turbo reaches max boost.  you see it alot on high hp engines like a supra or something. 
 
If you are seeing blue smoke its a well POS in my eyes.
