6-DISC CD CHANGER

Hi Guys!
 
I have a 2001 Honda Accord EX with a 6-disc cd changer. The thing just stopped working all of a sudden. I was actually listening to a cd and started to make the stratch sound. I quickly hit the back button and everything stopped. The were 6 cd''s in the changer at the time and all are still stuck in there. The Honda dealer advised me that they can take out the changer and send it back for repairs($200 deposit) or I can purchase a new one for $1500.00. This is crazy. I was wondering if there is anything that I could do to atleast get the cd''s out or possibly remedy the problem..

Looks like no one has an answer for you buddy..I would go to the best stereo installation shop in your area and ask them what they can do for you..Let us know if you get it right...
