With shipping thats like $130 less than what I paid for my Apexi WS2! Talk about a good deal!

what would u say would be better for my honda both performance wise and sound wise, the apexi ws2 or the greddy sp2?

I forget, but if the SP2 is a straight through design it will give you more power at medium to high rpms. The WS2 is not a straight through design so it will give you more torque than the sp2 and power at medium and high rpms but not as much as the sp2

I think performance they are the same with a 60mm inner diameter back pipe.
However, the SP2 has a 130mm tip, where as the WS2 has a 100mm tip.
I think the SP2 has a throatier sound, while the WS2 has a lower frequency of sound but slightly less growl.
I've never seen the WS2 in person though, but I love my SP2 :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXmM0VZNzDI Eh the SP2 is said to be a straight pipe design, but the pipes are not exactly straight, so I'm not sure if that's precisely what they are meaning.

By straight through design the mean that if you were to look in your muffler you could see all the way up your exhaust assuming it was all straight and lit up. The WS2 is not a striagh through design, meaning if you look in the muffler, you see a bend because there are a few bends of piping the the muffler to quiet the sound. So the inlet on mine is on the left side, but where the exahust comes out is the middle.

Well Hondas, ecspecially ours suck horibly in the torque department. Hence the WS2. But its up to you!

yeah no kidding, well idk ill figure somethin out. this is totally off topic but have u ever had a prob with water leaking into your trunk?

Do a lot of research before you buy w/e one. You dont want to regret spending all that money on your exhaust.
Nope never had a problem. Maybe you need new weatherstripping, or is your trunk lid bent?

no its behind the trunk liner kinda looks like its coming from the wheel well but hopfully ill tear into it and find out for sure

i got mine from gripmotorsports.nothing wrong with my sp2. i love the sound and everything. it's quiet at low RPMs and deep throaty at high RPMs. my only gripe is the rubber hangers. I can't stand the vibration but i'll get it fixed soon.

hmm.. i never had any problem with vibration but the middle pipe hung too low, had to bend the hangar arm

so the sp2 sounds better but the ws2 is better for the torque problem?

If you look in "Stories with Falkore" there is a link to a vid of my WS2 setup also ..... I have the 6 so there are 2 cans. Same tone as the one that Spaz posted, but a bit quieter I think.

ok but which one is better for the torque?

Well as far as the straightback thing goes... even though the SP2 is called a straight back, you can NOT see all the way through it..

yeah well im not too concerned about what the inside looks like or how the internals are designed, but i want a lil more torque in the bottom end, im sure they both sound good

Good luck finding some low-end torque with an Accord .... it's not possible! Assuming that you have a 4 banger, don't get a header. A header will cost you more at the bottom end than it will gain on the top end. A cat-back will allow the car to breathe better and will allow it to rev much faster thus getting it past the low rpms where it doesn't have any power.
If you add an SRI and a cat-back, you will notice a better response and the car will be a bit quicker, but it still won't have low-end torque.

I agree that the low-end torque is lacking, but not completely missing.
There's a few times when my car lurches forward after lightly tapping the gas, but the moment has to be perfect for it to really get some bite.
Also, I believe I read that if you use a TSX header it's diameter is about 20-25% wider and can help more in the low-end torque area.
I'll have to find that write-up later.

I agree, you really have to learn the gas pedal to get the full potential of the motor. I can "trick" my TCM into getting the auto to act like a manual based on how I use the pedal.

yeah, that's a good description of it...
A learned application of acceleration causes an expected reaction and simulated interpolation of manual transmission engagement.
ok so maybe that was cheezy...

Spaz .... I think that you are thinking of the TSX intake manifold upgrade, not the header.

Ahh snap.. you're right... i knew it was SOMETHING off a TSX
