so, i was watching pinks all out the other day on the speed channel, and this 89 crx gsr motor beats a 99 mustang cobra! that car was rocking already, but anyways it made it to the final four which is the best showing for an import on that show.  and, knowing that show (everyone hates imports on that show).  not to knock the show, but i watch it for the cars only.  a suped up crx is pretty darn fast!

any thoughts?

I wish there were more imports on that show. Otherwise its just like watching any other night at the drags, old muscle cars, big v8's, nitrous, slicks, hicks, and trans brakes.

There will be more and more imports on the upcoming shows because they are finally starting to realize the thousands and thousands of viewers they are missing because they dont have the other American (kinda imports ) in there..for instance...all the Honda, VW, Toyota plants here in the USA...geeze ...as of today we now have 13 Toyota Plants in the USA alone...

Plus that CRX probably weighed like 500 lbs.  Kind of like putting a rocket on a roller skate.  That's why people like to mod the CRX's.  I have seen a few Pontiac Fiero's on eBay that somehow had Cadillac V8's shoved in them.  I don't understand how that is possible, but there were more than one.  I guess it must be a semi popular engine swap.  Pretty sick if you ask me.

GSR motors are out of the integra GSR.  my friend has a EG with the GSR motor in it, and it hauls balls.

the B18C1 - 170hp - 128 ftlbs.  it was probably a built motor in the CRX. even the "mighty" B18C5 Type R motor with 195 hp, has only a measly 130 ftlbs of torque. those motors would never do as good as a H22 in our cars.

my boy has a Fiero, he was gonna put a LS1 'vette motor in there. it fits believe me. with 700+ hp they can be straight animals.

That's sick.  I don't see how he could get any traction!  But I guess with the motor in the rear like that most of the weight is over the rear wheels.  I hope he invests in a wheelie bar!  Sounds like he's gonna need it if he goes through with that swap!
