I have a 91 Honda Accord. The exhaust needs to be replaced. When I purchased the car, I didn't know that the exhaust was welded together. So now the resonator and muffler has hole in it and needs to be replaced. I have to replace the whole thing. I would like to take this time to upgrade the exhaust. I would like to do the job myself if possible? Does anyone have any suggestions on which exhaust should I go with? Please remember this is a 91, and not a 2001. I don't want to spend alot of money. Thanks!

How much money and what kind of sound do you want? Apexi WS II is sweet but I think it's around $300.00

Sir Nasty,
I was thinking less than $1,000. Maybe a little more! I want a nice sound, but not too loud. I just got off the phone with one of the local shops and he told me that some 91 honda's have two cats. I am not a dummy. I know a little something about cars. Needless to say I will not be going to him.

How much of the exhaust? from the engine back? from the cat back?

I am sorry it took so long to reply. I have to replace the whole exhaust. The exhaust has multiple holes in it. The resonator, muffler, and pipe before the muffler is rotted out. I need to replace it with good parts, but inexpensive. I don't want have to replace it in 5 yrs.

aka cat-back
the WS2 mentioned sounds beautiful!!!! You can hear mine on the "Storytime with Falkore" thread. It replaces everything from the cat, back!

Your cat isn't welded too is it!?!?!?!
Btw, doesn't a v6 have 2 cat's? Then again, I think that was introduced in the 7th gen?
Could be wrong all around :S
wouldn't be the first time ;)

Everything was welded

. I think I will have to replace the whole system. It is a 91, so I don't want to put too much money into it. Just to mention I will be doing the work myself. I only have one cat.

Mine has 1 cat. I think that the 7th gens actually have 3, one on either manifold and a normal one.
