This problem is actually with my roommates car, 1996 Accord LX, factory radio with tape player. Radio has been working fine until today, all connections have been checked, the only thing we can get from it is the light from the anti-theft system. Is the radio dead, or is there something else it could be?

check fuse box for blown radio fuse

Should have added that the fuse had been checked, that was the first thing I did :)
Thanks though, I know alot of people do over look that.

was the anti- theft light always on when radio was working?

Well, thanks for the help, my room mate decided to pull it out and take a hammer to it. Don't ask me why
