I have a 97 Accord with about 185,000 miles. I recently turned on the A/C and heard a very loud rattling/clicking noise. Upon further investigation, it appears to be coming from the A/C condenser fan. I can't see any foreign objects that might be lodged against the fan. It's a very loud noise and only when the fan is on. Could the fan be loose? Is it the condenser motor? Is this something I can fix without having to deal with discharging/charging the A/C? If so, what parts do I need and is it as straightforward as it looks (2 bolts on top and 1 on bottom) to remove the fan assembly. Thanks for your help.

most likely you got a bad motor,,,,,,,,,,,you can get a motor at Autozone for a lot cheper than a ( Honda motor ( around 220-230 dollars ) ..., just cut the wiring in the old motor and splice the wiring from the new motor into the old plug so it can be connected back in,,,,,,,

to remove the cond fan assembly it is very easy,, 3 , 10mm bolts, a few connectors and you are done ..You have to reuse the old fan blade,, remove the 8 mm nut , and install the blade on the new motor
