hey all, I've had aftermarket projectors from APC installed since last christmas. Since then, a light black circle has developed in the center of the projector lens (inside the housing). It is only visable when the lamps are on. Do I just let it all "black out" and if I do, will it effect visability of headlamps? I'm running sylvania silverstar premium bulbs for low beams and ultra for high. Nothing is wrong with high beams just low. any suggestions?
ps. headlamp removal is out of the question, took around 6hrs to install projectors. And that was at a shop!

6 hours!!!! Was a monkey doing it?
IS the black spot causing the light beam to disperse as well?

the black spot seems to not have an effect on the lighting yet. Also, by retrofit do you mean "rigged up". They were supposed to be direct replacements. No rewiring at all.

my guess is that it's burning the plastic

thats what i would guess too, do you often drive with your high beams on? Also 6 Hours? sounds like you got hosed. I did my own projectors that were plug and play and it barely took an hour and i did them myself

believe it or not, I was with the mechanic the whole time. I watched as he worked. Also, the high beams are fine, just low beams seem to be messed up. The low beams are the only ones in the projector housing.
