Hi, I need a recommendation on the “supplemental” alarm for my 2000 Accord EX. I don’t feel that stock alarm is protective enough.  Can I get an alarm that would “hook” to the stock system without too many problems, something that would operate my doors, may be windows and sunroof and with the starter kill?  Thanks,

I have a Viper 791XV alarm for my car, and I think it's great. Here's a URL to some very good prices for the alarm.

Hey, Thanks!
Did you install it yourself & how easy was it, if you did?
Are you using the remote start feature a lot?  I have a 5sp. & always leave it in the gear, so I am not sure how usefull this feature is for me...

Thanks,

I didn't install it myself so I don't know how hard it is. And yeah I do use the remote start feature a lot.

if you have pretty good knowledge about the electrical system of your car its generally not too hard to put an alarm or a keyless entry in, but as far as the remote start, if you arent good at it you might want to get someone else to do it, and considering its illegal in most states to hook up remote start to a car with a manual transmission it might be hard to get a pro to do it.

I had a 2001 accord ex 4dr sedan and got a prestige autostart alarm kit.
worked very well and am going to install another prestige onto my 2004 accord.

took bout 5-6hours to hookup being that the 2 fuse panels on my 01
were on either side. lots of going back and forth.
