Any issues with 2008 V-6 Accords?

Hello,

I might be buying a 2008 V-6 accord sedan and have been reading some scary reviews.  Have you been seeing any problems with these?
 
I hear that the VCM creates 'surging' when shutting down/starting up cylinders.  95% of my driving will be done on the highway at 78mph.
 
Also, I read that some people had major issues with a new honda where they basically had to tear down and replace half the engine component to make it work again (fuel system was major issue).
 
Any help will be great appreciated.

We haven't heard anything on here or from '08 owners with major issues like that. Biggest problem we've heard of is excessive blower motor noise/rattling. The 2008 marks the start of a new generation, so there might be a few kinks to work out.
