I was talking about the iphone, the battery isn't replaceable in home, and as per apples website it's $89.95 to get it fixed out of warranty, you send it in and can expect to wait 3-5 business days and lose all your information...
As for the cost issue, if you rember the Treo 750 when it came out was $450-$500 too and did a lot less, with less storage

I bought one... tried to sell it on ebay got screwed by a scammer... tried to use it anyway (I'm a salesman for another cell phone company considered "competition") and realized how much it sucks as a phone. Couldn't hold a signal for shit, and was about as easy to use as the first DOS based computers. I returned it within the 14 day return policy.
