OK. I bought this car for $350, and was told it just needs a head gasket! Apparently a water pump was installed wrong, and water got in with the oil. What is the worst case scenario here? Doe's anyone have any suggestions? appreciate any help.

no thats not from installing the water pump wrong....thats from it having a bad head gasket. water gets in the oil and oil gets in the water. the seal in the head went out. and that seal keeps oil, massive explosions, and coolant separate from eachother. its a bad scenario to start with..... have you ever changed a head gasket? if you have.......then you have nothing to worry about. sometimes if the car is allowed to overheat real bad the head will warp. cause alluminum doesnt really like to get hot, but i wouldnt worry about that. feel free to pm me.

someone lied to you,,, you cannpt install a water pump wrong.. this car overheated to the point that it blew the head gasket.. possibly warped head. and collapsed piston rings..
worse case scenario.. replace the engine ... best case scenario, replace head gasket. mill the head, replace thermostat. and hopefully for you all the fans work properly .
