oh, hell no...... dont bring video games into this, thanks to those i dont have an active urge to kill people :op but rap music and rap music videos dont exactly promote a friendly development for kids, but parents dont exactly teach their children that there are some things that just shouldnt be said or done in public..... but in the end.... most kids are influenced by their peers

yea we all voted for him........and i can take ownership of the magnanamous mistake that we made by electing him. he is the president that we all wanted. he lives in the present. educating the population is not an issue in his mind, he is big business, he wants the rich to get much richer and everyone else to get poorer. he capable of doing whatever he needs to, to get what he wants. ill bump that video is put up on here a while ago. everyone should watch it. i definately think that there may be parts of the movie that are exaggerated or not true at all, but i would love for someone to be able to say that all of it is lies. and if some of the things are true, then what else is?

BMW97,

People who think like you do really do cause a lot of proplems in our society. Your lack of compassion towards another person is just sickening....I am pretty sure that if someone told you "I hope one of your closest family members dies", you would be pretty upset.

I did not agree with a lot of things that President Clinton did, but never did I wish he was dead................

The fact remains that americans in their nature find destruction appealing thus you only focus on the bad things in life... People are about 75% more likely to remember when someone did something bad to them than when someone did something good. Along those lines I challenge ANYONE to say something good/nice about what a president has done without recieving a response about how they are wrong because the problem is simply this... opinions are like hind ends, everyone has one and everyone thinks that everyone else's stinks... Basically no matter what a president does someone is going to view them as being a bad president... I myself believe that bush made wise decisions based upon the intel that he recieved which is something none of us ever will so therefore I can't make a judgement of character based on what I don't know... just my opinion

And I think your position on the president is founded in it's entirety and is as correct as can be...but...some more opinions are to come about this also..

The terrorists tried to blow up the WTC in '93. What did Bill Clinton Do?
They hit our military bases several times during his presidency. What action did he take? I'll tell you...all he did was toss a few missiles at an Iraqi radar installation the day after news broke about Lewinsky to help take some of the heat off.
At least GW is taking action. Yes it's painful to see out boys getting killed, but no one can deny, Saddam killed 100's of 1000's of people all in all. For the good of mankind, he had to be taken out. When you have cancer, do you let it spread, or do you cut it out? Saddam was cancer on the face of the earth that needed to be cut out. No one can deny that fact. That's all i have to say.

Not ALL PPL!! Plz, I voted for KERRY!! Bush wants to be like Daddy still, he needs to realize that now he is a man and can make his own decisions. I get the war on Weapons, but trying to solve everyone elses issues of "this land is my land, this land is your land" is old already. No matter what Bush does or tries to do, it'll never happen. What is meant to be, will be.

**But I do like your Purple Letters** if you Get My Drift!

Yea, we have Saddam, so forget it now. Leave troops in rotation if you want to "keep peace", don't make thousands suffer and have the risk of being kidnapped then tortured. Flush out the Taliban n let the Iraqi ppl be safe once again. Then leave them alone.

I say we need to quit being politically correct and just out right kill these people. If they find you harboring terrorists they level your property. I am sick and tired of hearing about these "hardships" that these no good for nothing people who are out to kill us are "suffering" through.

oh man... i didn't want to, but... try not blaming others for what is wrong - claim responsibility and take action in any way you can. don't be such a lazy american as to let this great country fall under a shadow of hatred and despair that covered us while we all talked about it... try to see past the smoke screen - do your research on the american machine(no matter how disconcerting you find it to be), STOP WATCHING T.V. ALREADY!!!, read/ watch something by noam chomsky (manufacturing consent), and try to realize that being a 'republican' or a 'democrat' doesn't make anyone better or worse - it just keeps them occupied with useless arguments that detract from any sort of progress. i am for a true republic but not a republican. i am for true freedom but not an anarchist. i am for community but not a socialist. i don't think they have a name for what i believe in - i just claim to be humanese... i have seen far too much evidence for what i believe and received none from those that argue against it... thanks for reading... i was just kidding, by the way, i'm a republican that loves guns, v8's, and abortion rights... no - ok, i'm just kidding - the first part is what i believe... peace!

think for yourself - its what makes freedom so great...

INNER CITY SCHOOLS.... THAT IS A PROBLEM WITH THE SCHOOL BOARD NOT SPENDING THE MONEY CORRECTLY.
IN A LARGE CITY IT WILL RECEIVE MORE MONEY, BUT THEY HAVE TO BE SMART WITH IT BECAUSE OF THE LARGE NUMBER OF STUDENTS. THEY ALWAY RECEIVE A PAY INCREASE BUT TELL THE PUBLIC THEY ARE SHORT ON THE BUDGET EVERY YEAR.
THE MONEY IN THERE.

I wanted to post something. I am with Marbro all the way.. I think Bush has been a pretty good president. I wanted to add about the school situation, I work as a teacher assistant at a public school and the kids that I see with lower grades are the ones who have a bad home life. Usually they are missing a parent or their parents have drug or drinking problems. Really I've noticed that these kids have a lack of attention from their parents. Utimately, I feel that alot of parents have children and think that everyone else is supposed to take care of them. Teachers can only do so much!! Although, single parents this can't apply. I have a child of my own and I know that it's my job to teach him and help him so that he can get the best education. I also think that there are alot less bad teachers than what everyone thinks. Where I live teachers only make $20,000 a year. Average rent where I live is $1,200.00 a month. All of the teachers at my elementary school teach because they love the job and want to help all the kids have a great future in education. ****This is the truth!!! I mean really how many people do you know that would go to college for over four years and then continue to go through state creditial testing to make $20,000 a year. The no child left behind also made things different for teacher assistants. Now a teacher assistant has to have at least a two year college degree. A teacher assistant only makes $13,000.00 a year. Believe me I know!! For a school to qualify for the extra money 96% of children in the entire school must be at grade level in all subjects. Teachers get $1,000.00 bonus and teacher assistants get a $220.00 bonus. This puts alot of pressure on teachers because they are judged that year on how their kids perform on their eog's (end of grade testing). This starts at the second grade level. I wanted to also add that being with children all day and keeping them on task is alot harder than most would think. Eventhough I think teachers and teacher assistant should be paid more I still think that Bush has done a great job being our president. No matter what I would still vote for him again!!! I'm sure someone will disagree with me about the school issue. My response is that if you're a parent you should home school your kid and see how well you do with your child. There are great tax breaks for doing this..Most people need to understand that teachers need to have parents at home helping their child also. Teachers should not be looked down upon because they have children in their classes that are low or even failing. Parents should be telling their child to try their best, helping them with their home work, and parents should also communicate with their child and find out if they are having any problems with their work. Alot of parents never come in for parent/teacher conferences. This is rediculous!! Some of the parents that I have came into contact with could care less about their child. It makes me sick!!!! But anyway enough with my ranting.. I will always continue to help every child who comes my way no matter what their home life situation is. Thanks for reading, Breeze

I may be a little late to this thread, but here we go anyway. Don't get to log in every day - or week, so it appears. :)

1) The president may have something to do with introducing programs like NCLB, but how much does he REALLY have to do with the application and practical revision of such programs? Probably nothing. He's kind of the person in the public eye. half of the nation just doesn't know who their senators or house representative is/are. So the president gets the finger pointed at him. And it's true that you don't see the results of the president's term immediately. It takes several years for you to see the result of his actions. Short of the immediate results of a war, of course, like what we're seeing now, but the economic effects still are delayed. So any president who is in office during a slump gets the blame unfairly, much of the time. The same goes for the president in office when things are going good.
2) As far as him being for big business and wanting rich to get richer and poor to get poorer, I kind of see that as a misunderstanding. He is for business in general, as most republicans are. The opportunity to take part in the free marketplace. Some people will take advantage of our ability to do that, but most won't. Life isn't fair, but in general most people get what they work for. The reality is, the job market isn't what it was 20 years ago, and we need to learn to adapt. Sticking our heads in the sand and hoping the government will take care of it isn't going to work. That's why I operate my own business now. I'm in control of my future. Crap happens, but I can't blame anyone else for my failures, and I get all the credit for what goes right.
3) Whoever posted about this before was right, things really aren't as bad as most people think, the real problem is that the media with its "non-biased" reporters, wants to give us the story that will sell. This equals death and disaster. No one wants to read or watch what's going right. That's boring. So, unfortunately, we get a negative slant to nearly every news story that comes out.
I'm done now. Hopefully no one will be ticked off. :)
