This insurance adjuster has confirmed......it's totaled. I hope you are ok. make sure you get anything you want to salvage out of it ASAP before the insurance company gets salvage bids from salvage buyers. They will get mad if they bid on it and items have been removed that they thought they were getting.

i was dumb enough to drive late at inght. i fell asleep at the wheel. hit a tree. could of avoided the second one but the airbag hit my hand off the wheel nd hit the other one. after i hit both. my car was still running. the dust from the airbag filled the car so i opened my windows nd pulled off to the side..
well i need a new car soon..
im thinking of getting a ep3 hatchback (2003 civic si)

OUCH! at least you are ok, how's your neck feeling at this point? Driving late at night is a nasty habbit to break, I've pushed the limits on that a couple of times (not always by choice....) My friends dad used to work LONG hours and have to drive home at like 3:00am, he'd hold a needle in his hand and slightly prick his leg if he felt like he was drowsy. Sorry to hear about the accord but at least you walked away from it! What year/model/trim was it?

Falling asleep at the wheel sucks! Did you know that driving while tired is even worse than driving while intoxicated? I'm not preaching to you as I see you have learned from this experience. I have learned from some of my own screw ups (ahem.....DUI 5 years ago).

if you have long enough hair, pinch some of it in the window with the window rolled up
that way if your head starts to droop it will pull your hair.

heh. i wish i had long hair thats the best idea. hahah genius actually.
it was a 2001 accord v6 ex auto leather.
the first tree i couldnt avoid. i woke up and all i saw wasa tree in my front window. then when it fell off i saw the second one coming and i t urned my wehel to the right to get off the curb and back onto the road and the airbag hit my hand. major bruise on it. looks purple. but i was still able to run my car to pull off the road. My radiator busted so tehre was coolent everywhere.
i was calculating the cost myself. its totaled for sure. 2 side panels, hood, headlights, scratches on side, alternator, radiator, bumper. this is for sure over 12k. so i guses i have to say goodbye. insurance hasn't called me yet, i went to the yard to take out my deck because i didnt haev the tools to take it out at the time.
the seatbelt really saved my life. actualy i doubt the airbag even touch my face i had glasses on at the time and im sure if the airbag hit me the glasses would of killed my nose.

Yeah you must not have hit the airbag. Good job on wearing your seatbelt

. When I was 16 or 17 I had a wreck and wasn't wearing my seatbelt and I ate the airbag in my 1990 Mustang GT. That airbag saved my life. If was the first year airbags were introduced to the Mustangs too. I've worn my seatbelt ever since.

not really, it just forces you to be in an awkward position, which also keeps you awake. mines no longer than ear length and i can still do it.
but i never really drive at night, so ive never actually used it in the field. lol.
