Comptech

Is the company comptech out of business? If it is, is it still posible to get a comptech icebox?

That is weird, you may just have to call them.

Streetstyler is kinda shady. I'd find someplace better.

logan:  good luck!!!!  Compthec is in business, but the Icebox for the 6th gen accords and equivalent Acuras are not available ...... my brother has one on backorder with Comptech themselves and he's been waiting for it for almost 2 months ....... they won't load the mold until they have enough orders for it which may be indefinately.  It's unfortunate since it's my favorite intake design as well, but for the plenum design, you are going to have to DIY .... otherwise, you need to use a SRI or CAI.

Blk: the first thing i did was google it theyre hard to find, but i think i found one on modacar.com.

Just call the original company I suggested and see if they have it bro... Here's the link again:

alright. by the way the reason i thought comptech was out of business is because when i bought an icebox of off autocarparts.com they sent me an email a few days later saying that they cant give me an icebox because they thought they took comptech products off their site 6 months ago when comptech went out of business. so they credited my pay-pal account

alright ..... well autocarparts is wrong ...... most sites that have that part listed will allow you to order it and get a backorder notice that never gets filled.

I see ..... you didn't believe me.   After a month or so I'd cancel that order if I were you.  I'd be willing to bet Smag's new teabag that it gets backordered and never shows up.  On the other hand, now I know of 2 orders for the part, if there are about 18 more out there, maybe CT will get off their @$$e$ and pump some out.

ha ya. hey i got one more question, would you reccomend replacing the filter that comes with it(if one even does) with say a k&n filter?

nah ... Comptech is one of the absolute best companies for our cars.

that would be a nice combination.  all three of those are very good products.
