Hello everyone, i have decided to create an Ebay Project,
Everything added has to be from Ebay and cheap, it's a big experiment to see what actually works and what each bit does.
I created a group on Facebook called the Ebay project(
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=10697193324&ref=mf)
So far I have bought the Car 280 pound
Induction Kit (replacement Cone) 10 pound I would now describe it as a SRI (sounds excellent by the way)
So if anyone has any thing they want to experiment on before blowing there own honda up try mine.

I like the idea, how about some of those dirt cheap coilovers and headers

Sounds like a neat idea... for those of us without facebook accounts, can you describe your project in more detail?
It might be hard to get some of the guys involved as you only have 2 posts, and are linking to a page requiring a login.
Personally, I don't do the networking sites, so.. yeah...

i too would like to know if the super cheap coilovers and headers from ebay are effective at all?

The coilovers are not a wise decision. Neither are the chips.

yeah ive been looking at those coil overs, £100/$200 for a set. Just got to find out how to install them, i try to do everything myself you see, but my Hydrolic jack exploded on me thank god for axel stands, so under car work cannot happen, Im using a Haynes performance manual, they actually use my car as a demo, however they dont do a manual for my car for some weird reason.
So far i added an induction cone, silicone leads and have a stainless exhaust manifold/hedder and backbox, however the bolts are beyond seized and are an absolute nightmare, and i just cannot get them off, also i need to weld an extention pipe to the header, and i know a guy who does stainless welding.
I am in the process of replacing the pipes and tubes with nice blue ones, i have taken the valve cover off, grinded it and painted it gold. And to top it all off i have chrome taped the grill, which actually looks really good.

Well yes im british, cars generally are right hand drive,
what car do you have, a 2.4 or V6? and would you pay all the import costs?
No, im trying to save it from the scrappers, replacing parts as the money comes in, I have a whole new stainless manifold(header) and backbox for the exhaust system which came to 100 pound, which is very good, problem is getting the old exhaust off. the bolts might as well of been welds.

Right i have the lowering coilovers, for 50 pounds, i got them and lots of other things from jdmhondaparts.
they look ok, but i dont know how to dissassemble my suspension!? but once that gets done i can install them easily.
Other things added are a full induction kit (sort of a long SRI?), support struts, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulater. so the engine bay is starting to sparkle, still waiting out for the installation of my stainless exhaust manifold.
Ok i have a couple of pics in the gallery, titled ebay project. They show what im doing in the engine bay, just shows how a couple of things can really liven up your bay

I managed to fit the new lowering springs, The ride has dropped about 2 inches, and seriously firmed up, before it was like riding a pudding now its a metal sledge over gravel. And combined with the support struts handling is amazing. Unfortunatly i cannot fit the back springs as they are far too short, I suspect the previous owner had a repair done and used different springs shocks the works cause the springs are now too narrow to sit on the spring seat thing.
anyway i also installed the adjustable fuel pressure regulator and in creased the pressure by 10 % to about 50psi, combined with the induction kit it actually makes a noticeable difference in feel it always wants to go faster and roars in to action, great.
And i finally found a Haynes manual, they are very rear and only produced in america, so its 4cyl model is the 2.2L SOHC while mine is the 2.0L DOHC but outside the engine its all pretty much the same.
Still haven't got that damn exhaust manifold off!

Cheap Coilovers
I have now properly fitted the lowering coilovers to every wheel, the front ones were no problem the only mod i had to do was shorten the dustcovers by about half. The rear required more work, i had to cut the sponge-stop thing in half and remove the small thick metal disk and completly remove the dust cover. However it all looks good and has really firmed up the ride and makes you feel like your going faster, i was doing 20mph but it it felt good!
So my verdict is a good one, but lets wait until i have done a few hundred miles on them first.
here is the link for the installation guide and a look at what i have:-

I have just received the Turbo kit, just got to find a tuning shop to make the pipes and fit and adjust it for me, cause its way too complex for me
But should make a big improvement especially as i also have a full SS De-Cat exhaust system.
Then ill look more into brakes and the shocks, for the moment the cheap coilovers are going ok with the standard shocks but need spot welding, and going over speed bumps is painful,
But after this and the engine is running good, ill start on the exterior, get some of the rust patches off and have it resprayed.
