Engine gauges

I usually put a voltmeter, coolant temp, and a oil pressure gauge in my vehicles when they don't have them. Are the engine ports readily accessible for oil and coolant? The voltmeter only requires access to a 12 volt wire in the dash.

what year and model are you planning this ..

I'd be curious about the answer as well...I've thought about purchasing some.
